Please let me introduce myself; my name is Janelle Reeves and I am a Gold Coast Artist. I enjoy a vast range of arts that I use for my own self-care. Making items out of resin, mixing bright colours, making items that can be used on their own - like coasters or trinket boxes and other items like pendants for jewellery or key rings.

I also enjoy acrylic paint pouring, especially in times when I experience anxiety and/or racing thoughts. Choosing the colours and pouring the paint, watching the colours blend together to cover a canvas really helps me to be able to quiet the multitude of racing thoughts and allows me time to embrace my crafts in a mindful and positive manner.

I have lived with complex mental health issues since I was a child, though I went undiagnosed until I was 27 years old. I am very passionate about maintaining my own good mental health and I have spent many years speaking and advocating for increased awareness of mental health issues and maintaining good mental health. I never thought that rediscovering my passion for arts and crafts would be a vital step in my positive journey in my life.

The items available in my shop have been created by me and every piece is unique. My hope is that my art works may bring others some of the joy that I get from creating them.
